Myofascial Release Therapy

Minimize

Myofascial Release Therapy is a soft-tissue therapy for pain abatement, increasing range of motion and balancing the body through manipulation of the mysofascia system. The fascia is the web of connective tissue that covers and connects the muscles, organs, and skeletal structures located between the skin and the underlying structure of muscle and bone. There are two schools of Myofascial Release Therapy: Direct and Indirection. The former uses the knuckles, forearms, elbows or props to slowly worth through the layers of the restricted fascia until tension is released. The latter uses gentle stretching to produce heat, increase blood flow, and to allow the fascia to unwind itself.  This restores the body’s ability to self-correct and manage pain.
